ARVALIS partner-project "Smart AKIS" wins EU research funding

The Smart-AKIS project (in which ARVALIS is a participating partner) was selected for funding by the European Commission under the Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry H2020 Call for proposals 2014 - 2015.

Smart-AKIS is a multi-actor thematic network. It aims at fostering the effective exchange between research, industry, extension and the farming community in order to disseminate direct applicable research and commercial solutions.

  • The project will collect existing knowledge related to Smart Farming Technology (SMT) and will produce easily accessible end-user material.

  • The project will also integrate the socio-economic aspects involved in the innovation processes.

  • It will generate interactive and innovation-based collaborations among farmers, advisors and researchers through multi-actor workshops.


The Smart AKIS project starts in March 2016 (the kick-off meeting will be held in Athens on 23 and 24 March) and will run for 30 months.
