An internal Hackaton has been organised in Boigneville in early June
Web developers, data base managers, statisticians, modellers, GIS specialists, and agronomists... taking-up the challenge about cereal harvest issue.
Hackhaton = an innovative building teamwork
Experts from various units of ARVALIS Institut du végétal met for one full day to develop a web application for harvest monitoring. At the end of the day, a prototype was proposed to assess harvest in real time through a direct monitoring of fields (yield, protein content, ...). The application was then tested by a panel of cereal growers.More than an operational success driven by the different teams, the experience shows a new way to take-up challenges for agriculture.
