Agri benchmark 2017

The agri benchmark conference took place from the 11th of June till the 17th of June in Berlin, Germany. The aim of this conference is to analyze and understand the crop profitability through deep analysis of a typical farm network. ARVALIS Institut du vegetal is responsible for the French database. This year 59 economists from 27 countries were present. The cash crop conference underlined threw major challenges for cereal production: EU pressure on environment that increases European Union production costs; improvement in logistics in developing countries is needed to reach global market; high pressure on cereal prices leads to low profitability of the production all around the world.
